Denise Fugere and Stephanie Gould-Olson, Pine View School Elementary teachers, are passionate about the importance of students experiencing real life science outside.
Recently they ventured on their first-of-the-school-year Myakka River State Park field trip. There are 3rd and 5th grade students mixed up and mentoring one another, and having a blast! They are focusing on invasive plant species, and also collecting specific wild flower seeds for freezing and replanting in a different location in the Spring.
Thank you to Pine View teachers Fugere and Gould-Olson and their students for your biodiversity work!
